This Wednesday, October 9th join Ethical Bean, Nature’s Path, Happy Planet, and host of other amazing sponsors to enjoy tasty, local, organic eats in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. For every $1 spent, the Food Bank purchases $3 worth of food for the hungry. Amazing food for a great cause – what’s not to love?
All the compassion action will be taking place in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery from 7am to 3pm – rain or shine. Join us for a buffet style breakfast from Nature’s Path, Two Daughters Bake Shop, Happy Planet, and of course, fairtrade organic coffee! Or, leave your lunch at home and delight your tastebuds with Save-On-Meats veggie chili, Que Pasa Mexican food, and Silver Hills sandwiches from 11:30am on. All food has been donated, so 100% of proceeds will go directly to Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
A BIG shout-out to Darryl, Anita, and the amazing team at Butler Did It Catering for donating their brew-power for the event. It’s thanks to them that we’ll be keeping everyone in the Cafe caffeinated and happy all day!
For the second year running, Compassion Into Action will also be running their super-popular organic marketplace alongside the Cafe, where you can fill your boots (or reusable shopping bag) with fantastic offerings from everyone you tasted in the Organic Café. A $20 donation gets you a bag of groceries to take home to your cupboard, or you can ‘shop’ for what you love knowing all proceeds go to the food bank.
Mark your calendars, grab a colleague, and come and join us. Put your compassion into action for Greater Vancouver Food Bank!
