Saturday, February 1st
Chinese New Year Celebration – Families with Children from China (FCCBC) is a network for families in British Columbia who have adopted children from China. They provide information on adoption from China and offer a peer group for parents and children.
Wednesday, February 5th – 8th
CaseIT SFU – CaseIT is North America’s largest and longest run Management Information Systems case Competition. The competition is designed to find the best and brightest in strategic IT case analysis. It is a forum where students from various backgrounds of IT and business can showcase their skills in areas such as teamwork, problem solving, and critical thinking to a panel of industry professionals.
Sunday, February 16th
Women’s Tea – Spinal Cord Injury BC. The 11th annual Women’s Tea event provides women living with spinal cord injury and related disabilities a chance to special, be pampered, and to socialize in a women-centered space. 3rd Annual School of Horticulture Branching Out Career Fair – Kwantlen Polytechnic University. The theme is Building Resilient Cities with limited supplies of water. What our population is doing and new careers that we need to build to address resiliency issues. The event will provide a forum for stimulating presentations and discussion, build connections for students and industry partners, and provide opportunity for industry to secure graduates for employment in their teams. Friday, February 28th
Selkirk Royale (Casino Night/Silent Auction) – Lord Selkirk Elementary School is a an Inner City School in Vancouver’s east side and is among the largest and most diverse elementary schools in the district. This year the school is looking to raise funds for technological learning resources, enrichment programs and literacy tools. The school is presently lacking and behind in all these resources and the District is financially unable to equip schools adequately. Visit their facebook page for more info.
