Saturday, June 14th

Ride to Conquer CancerBC Cancer FoundationThe Ride to Conquer Cancer is presented by Silver Wheaton benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation. Our coffee is being served at the Peace Arch Border during this is a unique two-day cycling event that takes place June 14-15th.  Money raised will benefit the BC Cancer Foundation. Saturday, June 14th

Richmond Relay For LifeCanadian Cancer Society – Keep a look out for our coffee at The Relay for Life, the Canadian Cancer Society’s largest fundraiser of the year. A 12-hour overnight fundraising event in which teams take turns walking laps all night. Teams stay overnight to enjoy music, food, activities and entertainment to celebrate life. This year the Relay for Life is taking place at the Richmond Olympic Oval from 6pm-6am. For more information visit their website, or you can register here for the relay. Sunday, June 15th

Do It For DadProstate Cancer Foundation BC – This is the 16th year of the annual Father’s Day Walk/Run for prostate cancer.  This year the run/walk venue is at Burnaby Lake, the 10.8km race course is on a trail around Burnaby Lake. Wednesday, June 18th

Summer Connect EventUnion Gospel Mission –The Summer Connect offers those struggling with homelessness and poverty in our community the opportunity to do in one day, what can often take months. The Union Gospel Mission will once again assemble more than 40 vital service providers under one roof, with the common goal of eliminating barriers that prevent vulnerable community members from moving forward in life.

The community event will run from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Those struggling with homelessness, poverty and addiction can come to UGM and get access to things like legal assistance and support for housing, employment, and income assistance. Services like free haircuts, bike and wheelchair repair, pet care, a great meal and much, much more. For more information, please visit their facebook page.

Thursday, June 19th

EAT.DRINK.PLAYFirehall Arts  Centre – The Firehall Arts Centre is a busy downtown theatre that produces 16 shows annually for an audience for over 30,000. They are hosting their annual silent auction on June 19th which celebrates locally sourced food and drink from their neighbourhood, combined with a live performance. One lucky winner will be walking off with a gift pack donated by Ethical Bean Coffee to this fundraiser which raises much needed funds to make their programming possible. Saturday, June 21st

24th Annual Strawberry FestivalWest End Seniors Network (WESN) – The West End Seniors Network is a well-established non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for all older adults living in the West End of Vancouver. Their annual Strawberry Festival is taking place at Barclay Heritage Square and Barclay Manor June 21st. This festival is an important day for the organization as it provides their seniors an opportunity to give back to the community which celebrating the start of summer and one of our gift packs will be available in the silent auction.
