This stunning summer is coming to a glorious end, but the refreshing days of autumn are on the horizon. There are still many events around town to get out and enjoy in the last days of the season. Hoping to see you there!

September 12th, 13th, 19th, & 20th
Bass Frosh – Beedie School of Business (SFU) – Here at BASS FROSH, we value lasting friendships, engaging experiences, and personal growth. We aim to provide a fun and exciting jumpstart to your university journey. Our vision statement is what guides the Organizing Committee (OC) and our Leaders in creating an experience that you will not forget. We’re all about providing opportunities for you to meet as many people as possible – whether it’s other first-years or Leaders who are in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year! FROSH for business students at SFU began in 2007 and has been running and growing since! Each year presents a different theme and is unique from previous. Friday – Saturday, Sept 11th-12th
The Spark Orientation 2015 – UBC OrientationsSauder School of Business – Over 1200 Students will be welcomed to The Spark, the first year orientation at the Sauder School of Business by some fresh Ethical Bean Coffee. During the orientation events, students will be involved in learning programs, such as interactive workshops, case competitions and high value networking events with community leaders and outstanding Sauder alumni. Through thoughtful program development, they will be challenged to grow their leadership, innovation and creativity through a variety of avenues. Sunday, September 13th
Feast of Fields FarmFolk CityFolkFarmFolk CityFolk celebrates local food and supports sustainable agriculture. We are a not for profit society cultivating a local, sustainable food system in BC. We organize around local, timely issues; help new, young and existing farmers begin or continue growing; educate farm and city folks; and connect thousands of British Columbians to local and sustainable food. We are proud to work with you to create a strong, sustainable food system in BC. Sunday, September 13th
Rhythm Of Life Run – BBY Hospital Healthy Heart Program – Rhythm of Life is Burnaby Hospital’s annual community fundraising walk and run. The Rhythm of Life was started in 1999 by Burnaby Hospital Healthy Heart to promote heart disease awareness in the community and to raise funds for program development and staff education. With the effort and support from FITT volunteers, the Rhythm of Life Run continues to thrive in the community and now celebrates it’s 17th year. The funds from this event provide support for the Burnaby Hospital Healthy Heart Program and FITT Cardiac programs in the community. Monday to Friday, September 14th – 18th
UBC Business Week UBC Commerce Undergrad Society – Ethical Bean Coffee will be served throughout Business Week, the largest annual business fair at the University of British Columbia. Business Week encompasses a wide variety of activities designed to facilitate interaction between CUS clubs, conferences and services, corporate sponsors, and the general student population. Located at the center of the campus, under the bright, September sun and amidst the excitement of a brand new school year, Business Week aims to showcase the best of the business world to students while providing sponsors with the most exposure possible, as no other CUS event encompasses all major clubs, conferences and services at one time. Saturday, September 26th
Triathlon BC Athlete Gala – Triathlon BC Mission – This event is a celebration of the British Columbia’s triathlon community and will be held at the Creekside Community Centre. Triathlon BC’s Athlete Gala is a landmark event that commemorates significant athletic achievements and recognizes influential members of the provincial multisport community. Triathlon BC is a not-for-profit organization primarily run by passionate volunteers. Attracting close to 18,000 annual participants, Triathlon BC is the governing body responsible for delivering over 60 sanctioned, multisport events across the province. Our mandate includes developing certified (NCCP) coaches, accrediting field of play officials and preparing high performance athletes for the rigours of national and international competition. Our success would not be possible without dedicated volunteers and committed ongoing community support.
