It’s the time of year for getting together and spending time with friends and loved ones, but don’t forget about others during the season of giving. Ethical Bean Coffee will be participating in many events to help keep us warm all over, inside and out. Please join us.

Friday, Dec 4th
Hubbub #5CityStudio Vancouver – CityStudio is an experimentation and innovation hub for the City of Vancouver where staff, students and community members design and execute projects on the ground. Ethical Bean Coffee will be served at Hubbub #5, an all-day. An interactive showcase of over 25 CityStudio projects from the 2015 Fall semester. Students pitch their projects about the future of Vancouver, and network with City staff, faculty, community members, the Mayor and councillors. Friday – Sunday, Dec 4-6th
TOQUE: Western Front’s Annual Fundraiser & Craft FairWestern Front Society – Established in 1973 the Western Front is one of Canada’s leading artist-run centres for contemporary art and new music. We produce and present visual art, exhibitions, new music concerts and workshops, media-art residencies, performance art and other artist driven initiatives. Our mission is to facilitate the creation of art, and to stimulate ideas and public discourse in the broader cultural ecology.
TOQUE is a curated craft fair, produced and presented by the Western Front. The event showcases 25-30 local artists, designers, and artisans with goods ranging from art publications, ceramics and jewelry, to artisan edibles, Ethical Bean Coffee served fresh and hot, and one-of-a-kind objects. Proceeds support Western Front’s year-round art and music programs.
Renowned as one of Vancouver’s most well-curated craft fairs, expect the arts community in attendance, plus in-the-know individuals and families looking for a fun holiday event with fantastic shopping.

New hours this year! Opening night is Friday Dec 4th from 6-10pm and the fair continues Dec 5th and 6th, Saturday and Sunday from 11am-5pm.

Saturday, Dec 5th
Gunner Shaw Memorial Cross CountryLions Gate Road Runners – Lions Gate Road Runners is the one of the oldest running clubs in the lower mainland devoted to distance running. We welcome members of all abilities, and together with our community partners we host three races a year and help promote the sport throughout the year. Funds from the Gunner Shaw Memorial Cross Country will support Team Carnegie, a running group organized by the Carnegie Centre that gives residents of the DTES a chance to train and compete in the 2016 Vancouver Sun Run, and Ethical Bean Coffee is proud to be being served at this event. Saturday, December 5th
The Rainbow Concert Band Gets Fruity and NuttyRainbow Concert Band – The Rainbow Concert Band is a non-for-profi, Vancouver-based community musical group. We give public concerts throughout the year and depend on fund-raising events and donations to finance these performances. Saturday – Tuesday, Dec 26-29th
Christmas TournamentNorth Delta Minor Hockey – The North Delta Minor Hockey Association is a community-based Society providing recreational and competitive hockey programs for children in North Delta. Our aim is to promote the enjoyment and satisfaction of hockey for all participants and volunteers. This is done through development of hockey skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, character, and friendship. We are committed to building confidence and self-esteem in our participants while promoting the values of honesty, integrity, dignity, and respect, both on and off the ice. Ethical Bean Coffee will be served at the North Delta Minor Hockey Christmas tournament – H2-H4 divisions (ages 6-8 years, initiation and novice levels).

Thursday, December 10th
Outreach ChristmasBurnaby Task Force on Homelessness – Mission: Working together to END homelessness in Burnaby. Outreach Christmas – During a season in which many Burnaby citizens are especially challenged with homelessness and poverty, people will have an opportunity to enjoy a warm welcome and festive environment, and Ethical Bean coffee will be providing the fresh, hot coffee for the event.
