April 3rd
European Tour Meet & Greet –
Arts Club Theatre Company – The Arts Club leads in developing and producing live theatre in BC. We inspire and nurture artists and audiences through diverse cultural experiences that are engaging, thought-provoking, and artistically innovative. The European Meet and Greet is an opportunity for guests who are participating in our European Tour fund-raising endeavor to meet each other and their Tour Guide. The proceeds from this tour go directly to the Arts Club’s productions, youth and education programs, and community outreach initiatives.

April 16-17th
Camp Squeah Paddle-a-thon –
Camp Squeah – In response to God who loves and calls us, Camp Squeah provides a place of refuge in a natural setting where people of all ages can build relationships, grow and be nurtured. The Cause…Each year the Paddle-a-thon raises funds for Camp Squeah’s Summer Staff Bursary Fund; a fund established to help our summer volunteer staff return to college or university after each summer. A 2-day paddle trip on the Fraser River, which begins in Hope and ends at Fort Langley. In 2016 the event is taking place April 16 & 17. Paddlers will enjoy the serene beauty of the Fraser River up-close, while enjoying one another’s company.

April 20th
Meet at the Creek –
BCIT Sustainability Initiative – The BCIT Sustainability Initiative’s mission is to inspire small changes across campus as stewards of environmental and social responsibility while encouraging conscious living, creative problem-solving, and teamwork within the BCIT and greater community.
Meet at the Creek is a community event aimed at continuing the restoration of BCIT’s very own on-campus Guichon Creek while educating students and the public about the importance of riparian areas, the impacts of invasive plant species, and how to remove invasive plants and plant native ones as an effective restorative process.

April 22nd
12th Annual Jeans & Jersey –
Alberta Diabetes Foundation – The Alberta Diabetes Foundation rapidly and strategically funds innovative research for the prevention, treatment and cure of diabetes.
The Alberta Diabetes Foundation is proud to present Jeans & Jersey 2016 at Schanks Sports Grill on April 22nd in support of life changing research. Guests will feel like they stepped right into a sporting event, which will showcase a silent auction, city of champion celebrities, prize giveaways, sport trivia challenges, and so much more! This is a chance to put on a comfy pair of jeans and jersey to celebrate your favorite team and raise funds for life changing diabetes research. Along with our Master of Ceremonies, TBA, join us to help achieve the ultimate goal: finding a cure for diabetes!

WineFest –
Rotary Club of Metrotown Burnaby – This is the major fund raising event for the Rotary Club of Metrotown Burnaby. The funds go to support the club and to its major work. This includes, but is not limited to, Children’s Literacy programs, Coats for Kids program, Down Syndrome research, and general community support in Burnaby.

April 28th – 30th
BMO Health, Sport and Lifestyle Expo –
Fair Trade Vancouver – Mission: Fair Trade Vancouver builds relationships with our stakeholders to change behaviour in order to create a sustainable and equitable trading system which respects people and the environment.
Event: The Health, Sports & Lifestyle Expo launches BMO Vancouver Marathon weekend. It showcases everything from running gear and shoes to the latest trends in lifestyle, fitness, wellness, health and nutrition. Attend and you must might win an Ethical Bean Coffee giftpack as a door prize!

April 30th
Fundraiser for Project Somos – Project Somos – We are fundraising to assist the growth and development of housing and programming for the Children’s Village, Project Somos, Guatemala. We will be hosting a dinner/drinks/awareness evening on April 30 with raffles and silent auction. Your contribution would be greatly appreciated!
