Specially marked bags in stores

Contest Details

FESTIVAL CONTEST EXTENDED — This contest was a great success as a fundraiser for the Vancouver Folk Music Festival held 13,14,15 July 2007. But there are still a few bags priced at reduced rates with tickets in them at participating stores. Any tickets found are redeemable for next year's Festival (July 2008), so take the opportunity to get a great deal on Fair Trade Certified Organic Coffee and win a pair of tickets to next year's Folk Music Festival.

Inside 3 specially labeled packages of Ethical Bean Festival Blend coffee are tickets for 2 people to attend all 3 days of the Vancouver Folk Music Festival. Odds of winning this package (valued at $370) are 1 in 320. Specially labeled packages are available in British Columbia only.

Three winning bags have been randomly distributed to participating stores, who will be selling the 1lb bags in their Fair Trade, Organic coffee sections. Each one of the three winning bags contains a silver foil wrapper with a pair of weekend passes (value of tickets per bag $370).

It's easy to participate! Buy a bag of coffee, support the Festival and have a chance to instantly win tickets−no redemption necessary. Remember Charlie Bucket, Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Mike TeeVee and Violet Beauregarde?

About Festival Blend Coffee
Your San Francisco muse in a cup. A grounded yet dynamic and expressive blend with eight-octave range on the palate. Flavours of the Far East's exoticism, conjure memories of teakwood and spice, lovingly enveloped in earth mother sweetness with an echoing finish. Peace, buttercup.

Festival Blend coffee is available for sale year round at BC grocery stores. Ethical Bean donates partial proceeds of each bag of Festival Blend directly to the Vancouver Folk Music Festival.

About Ethical Bean

Over 120 hours of music, word and dance on 8 stages in Jericho Beach Park, with music from 11 countries, 5 provinces and 6 states in 7 languages. For details on this year's performers, please visit thefestival.bc.ca.

Barbara Chirinos, Operations Manager of the Vancouver Folk Music Festival says: "I have nothing but wonderful things to say about working with Ethical Bean Coffee Company. In addition to having our name on a chocolate-y, delicious, Certified Organic and Fair Trade coffee, we're collaborating with a socially responsible, local company. This partnership exemplifies the type of association the Vancouver Folk Music Festival continues to seek. Working with Ethical Bean provides economic benefits to both of our organizations and helps the festival year-round. So when it comes to Ethical Bean's Vancouver Folk Music FESTIVAL BLEND, DRINK DEEP AND DRINK OFTEN, we do!"

In November 2006, the Festival Blend won Best Organic Beverage (non alcoholic) from the Certified Organic Associations of BC.
